Day 3

River cruise and seals We board a boat for a splendid scenic cruise along the River Fal from the cathedral city of Truro to the historic maritime town of Falmouth. Once a fishing port, Falmouth is now an attractive resort and among the attractions is the excellent National Maritime Museum, which opened in 2003. Later we visit the National Seal Sanctuary in Gweek, set on the picturesque Helford River.

Day 4

The Eden Project. Dubbed the 'Eighth Wonder of the World' by some, the Eden Project is a dramatic global garden housed in tropical biomes that nestle in a crater the size of 30 football pitches. Experience the sights, smells and scale of the rainforests in the Rainforest Biome - the world's largest greenhouse - and discover the tropical plants that are used to produce everyday products. Travel to South Africa and California, as you amble amongst the orange and lemon trees, olive groves and gnarled vines of the Mediterranean Biome. In the 30-acre Roofless Biome see hemp, sunflowers and other plants that could change our future, flourishing under the Cornish sun. The biomes are spectacularly set in a hillside surrounded by huge landscaped gardens.
